Dundas
Small-town soul with big-city convenience
Dundas is a charming community at the western edge of Hamilton, nestled in the Dundas Valley. Often called the Valley Town, it has a distinct small-town character with a vibrant downtown strip along King Street. The area is surrounded by conservation areas and waterfalls, making it one of the most scenic places to live in the Golden Horseshoe. Housing ranges from heritage Victorians downtown to newer subdivisions on the outskirts.

Dundas is the hidden gem that's not so hidden anymore. The downtown King Street strip has exploded with incredible restaurants and specialty shops, it's become a legitimate foodie destination. What I love about Dundas is the nature access: you're minutes from Webster's Falls, the Bruce Trail, and some of the best hiking in southern Ontario. For families, the school options are excellent and the community is tight-knit. The trade-off is transit, you'll want a car. But if you work from home or commute to the 403 corridor, Dundas offers a quality of life that's hard to match.
